FedEx uses three primary statuses to track a package while it is in transit to its destination:
- Label Created
- In Transit
- Delivered
Counting the Calendar Days
All timelines are based on calendar days
- Begin counting the calendar days the day after the tracking status was updated.
- Calendar days include weekends (Saturday and Sunday are counted).
Example:
In the following image, the label was created on January 15th.
Label Created Status
The following image shows a FedEx tracking number in Label Created status.
| Status: | LABEL CREATED | |
| Time Frame | Resolution | Note example |
|
Allow 10 calendar days for FedEx to receive the package.
|
If the package has been in Label Created status for 10 calendar days or fewer, inform the Requester:
Important: Do not log the package in the Tracking Log. |

IN TRANSIT/ON THE WAY Status could also indicate: Shipment exception, pending delivery, or schedule delivery |
|
| Time Frame | Resolution | Note example |
